Dr. Ghulam Idrees was a highly reputed and well-known public health specialist of Pakistan's health sector. He worked for over 50 years in the health sector with stature, fame and reputation. The vision he founded ACIL on — rigorous, evidence-led consultancy — is still how we operate today.

Senior Health Systems, Policy & Governance Specialist — 30+ years
Dr. Nasir Idrees is a Senior Health Systems Specialist with 30+ years of experience in public health, health policy, governance, and international development. He has extensive experience with WHO, World Bank, Asian Development Bank (ADB), UNICEF, UNDP, FCDO, and USAID-funded programmes. He has led more than 50 strategic assignments for Pakistan's health and social sectors and has served as technical adviser and team leader on some of the country's more consequential reform initiatives.
ACI works with a network of highly qualified associates who have held senior positions in the Government of Pakistan, WHO, World Bank, ADB, UNICEF, academia, or the private health sector. For each assignment, we put together the team that actually fits the work, rather than rotating through a fixed roster.
